About Kelly

Kelly Illich has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2005. Kelly was born in Long Beach, CA and was raised in Fargo. She graduated from NDSCS twice twenty years apart with degrees in Graphic Arts and Architectural Drafting & Estimating. She then lived in Arizona for 15 years, selling homes for Cachet Homes for 12 years. She recently returned home to Fargo.

Kelly's housemate is Charlie, a dachshund mix with very short legs and a giant heart. He lets Kelly share the house with him. Her daughter and family live in California. Her BOGO (Birth one, get one) daughter and family live in Arizona. Kelly thinks her grandbabies are too far away and thanks Facetime! She is fortunate to have a mother and mother-in-law living in Fargo.

We interviewed Kelly and learned a little more about her:

First Job: Weeding sunflowers at Mark Andrews's fields north of Fargo.

Favorite Colors: Green and Blue

Obsessions/Addictions/Hobbies: Style, decor, architecture, running, yoga, reading and good eats.

Favorite TV Show/Movies: TV: Downton Abbey and Suits; Movies: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Grand Canyon and Love Actually

Pet Peeves: Poor manners, deliberately being wasteful, crinkling wrappers, oh I could go on...

Favorite Quote: Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better. ~ Albert Einstein

Favorite Charity & Why: Emergency Food Pantry - people should not go hungry. There is plenty of food to be distributed to those in need.

If we had to describe you as a hashtag, what would it be? #greenandgrowing

Favorite Client Story: I was invited to a house warming party for family from India using their customs. I was the only one there who had never seen these rituals. There was incense burning, chanting, sand art and food. They were eager to explain the meanings behind everything. It was quite interesting.

What is the first real estate you purchased and do you still own it? I purchased an adorable, tiny 860 sq ft house by Lindenwood Park in Fargo. I sold it and after that St. John Church purchased it so they could remove it and make a parking lot. It doesn't even exist any more.
